Boost Your Leg Strength
Movements on a surfboard once you get past beginner stage can be difficult, depending on the type of surfing and the size of the board leg strength can become highly important.
Even very simple exercises such as a basic lunge can be a great way to get extra leg strength to help boost your surfing movements!
The basic lunge – a great exercise for the upper leg and buttocks.

Place one foot forwards about a stride-length apart from the back leg. Keep your hips facing straight ahead, keep your body upright and your abdominals tight.
Next, bend your knee directly over your front foot. Once you have done this, step back and repeat the exercise. Take care not to bend further forwards than the toes.
Try some Basic Squats
The basic sqaut is a very effective way to start boosting your surfing leg strength,sqauts work the thighs and buttocks as well as the lower leg muscels.
start the exercise with feet hip-width apart, knees soft. keep your back straight and place your hands on your hips.
Then bend your knees to around 90 degrees and allow your body to lean forwards just slightly until it is at right angles to your thighs.
